Fort Augustus Abbey School featured in a BBC documentary  entitled ‘Sins of Our Fathers’ which reported on the sexual abuse of more than 50 boys at the school in the 1970s by the Catholic monks who were working at Fort Augustus and its prep school, Carlekemp.

Both the Catholic Church and the Benedictine order the monks belonged to have apologised for the abuse, as well as for deliberately covering it up for many years.
