The Solar Centre is a day centre for severely disabled patients at St Catherine’s Hospital, Doncaster. Severely mentally and physically disabled adults were physically and emotionally abused. Successful claims against the Foundation Trust have been brought and the four alleged abusers were eventually charged after the Crown Prosecution Service re-opened the matter following an internal investigation. Convictions have been secured.
